Globe Refiners relief, clay for bronze

McPherson Globe Refiners were a dominant basketball team from Kansas that first introduced the slam dunk and were responsible for many rule changes. Many members of the Globe Refiners played in the first Olympic basketball tournament in which they took home gold in 1936. Their story is not very well known. The 11 foot wide relief monument will be cast in bronze and installed in the plaza of their home court in Kansas.
