Sutton Betti (b. 1973) was born in Northern California and was surrounded by art and music from an early age. He began his formal art training in 1995 at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco focusing his studies on life drawing, painting, sculpture and human anatomy. He later became a sculpting assistant for three different figurative bronze sculptors in California and Colorado before embarking on his own full time career in the arts in 2008.
With a keen eye for portraiture, his delicately modeled, realistic bronze sculptures are imbedded with anatomical accuracy and attention to detail that make them come alive with a spark of life. His monumental sculptures focus on historical, sports and military subjects where he attempts to bring the stories from long ago into a unique composition.
